AIS Life Guard is the world’s first man overboard alarm that is approved for global use with IMO approved AIS search and rescue transponder (SART) or receivers that works with 12v or 24v DC systems. The main function would be to connect to AIS devices and detect SART targets when transmissions are sent out.
As both NMEA and USB outputs are available, the AIS Life Guard can synchronise with both PC and Mac-based navigation software as well as chart plotters from manufacturers like Garmin, Raymarine, Lowrance, Standard Horizon and Furuno. For smaller vessels, an alarm will be sent when an SART transmission is detected whereas for larger vessels, an external alarm can be sounded to alert the entire vessel.
