We believe in contributing back to the community that has graciously provided us with the opportunities and means of making an honest living.

We do so by paying-it-forward to our fellow mariners and society-at-large. We are proud to say that our CSR activities are fully funded by the voluntary contributions of time, money and expertise from the management and staff of our company. All of us at Fredrik Marine give freely only what we have rightfully and honestly earned.

Apostleship of the Sea (AOS) – East and Southeast Asia region

The Apostleship of the Sea is the apostolic work of the Catholic Church offering hospitality and pastoral care to the People of the Sea. In almost every country bound by sea, there exists a community of people who care for seafarers, fishers and their families regardless of their country or culture.

Our Managing Director, Nicholas Chan, personally supports the Singapore office of the Apostleship of the Sea by working closely with Father Romeo Yu Chang in the duties of his ministry.

SaveOurSeafarers is an international non-profit anti-piracy campaign launched in March 2011 by a group of five influential maritime associations. Piracy imperils seafarers’ lives and wellbeing and costs the maritime industry billions of dollars each year. Piracy must be stopped.

Our management team and staff signed and sent a letter of support for the SaveOurSeafarers campaign addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore on 11th  August 2012. The contents of the letter of support can be viewed here.
